After a very productive yesterday at Power House we can now confirm that the PowerHouse Cre8tivity Broadcast will take the following format:

Film 1: Dan and Adam’s intro: 2 young men with a fine sense of comic timing introduce the InFocus project… eventually…

In Focus

Welcome to the In Focus Homepage. Toxteth TV is delighted to be working with so many different people on this project. In Focus is a digital learning project supported by The Transformation Fund.

In Focus is about learning. Learning things that maybe you haven’t learnt before, or you’ve missed out on in the past, or you thought you wouldn’t have the time or the motivation or the knowledge to do. In Focus aims to reinvigorate a desire to learn in all our groups.

Who are the In Focus groups?

The In Focus groups range in age from 19 – 70 and come from a variety of groups in Liverpool, all are volunteering to partake in this project as a way of learning new digital skills.

So, what are our groups learning?

Initially we’ve been learning the technical and now artistic aspects of film making with our film-makers Nicky and Jerome. We’re making five short films that will form part of five studio based community TV programmes that will be screened via the web in March 2010.

We’re also learning other digital skills in I.T, editing, blogging and digital stills camera and mobile phone use. These skills are identified by each group and built into our programme.

The themes we’re exploring include community involvement, local history and personal challenges. Each group have set up a blog and will be working with ? Onteca on their I.T skills.
